Coach Training Opportunities

Hi coaches and potential coaches,

This is a LONG email… so there is a summary at the top here and more details of each subject below.

Winter Training sessions will be starting very soon. Although head coaches have been identified for our Rep teams, Kanata Baseball still needs coaching help:

Assistant coaches for Rep teams

If you will be volunteering as an assistant coach or, head coaches, you have assistants in mind, be certain to register online as “staff”. It is important all staff are registered. Visit http://kanatabaseball.com, click on the Register menu option, sign in and choose Register as Coach/Staff. Select the 2021 OBA Programs/Tournaments category and you will be presented with the OBA programs.

Coaching help for Winter Skills

We need adult coaches to lead sessions - coaching experience is not required. Training plans are being developed so enthusiasm and a desire to motivate the kids is all you need! Registration is easy:

Coaches for Spring and Summer Baseball

It is not too early to start considering Spring Baseball! Training opportunities with coach instructors, also learn from experienced coaches through KBA’s mentorship program

Kanata Baseball is always looking for opportunities to get its coaches valuable training opportunities. KBA is happy to offer the following sessions to you whether you volunteer to coach in 2021 (details of each below):

Best Ever Coaches Clinic

Registration is open for this year’s Best Ever Coaching Clinic. This clinic is an opportunity to learn from coaches hailing from across North America. The Best Ever Coaching Clinic will provide instruction and insight to coaches of all levels - from just considering volunteering to years of experience. The guest instructors range from top High School coaches to professional MLB coaches.

This year’s clinic is virtual and takes place January 15-17, 2021.

By registering through KBA, you will save $9 on the registration fee.

Included in your fee is a credit for any single NCCP training clinic to be taken between January 18^th and April 30^th, 2021.

You will also receive access to on-line recordings of all Best Ever Coaching Clinic sessions for reference throughout 2021.

To register, go to kanatabaseball.com, click on Register in the main menu and follow these steps:

Log into your account (or create a new account).
Select "Register as a Participant"
Under "Choose a Season", select "2021 Special Events"
Select an adult family member who will attend the clinic
At the bottom under "Division", choose "Adult"
Check the box next to "OBA Best Ever Clinic"
Click "Continue"
Make payment arrangements - you are not confirmed until payment is received
On the following page, click "Submit Registration"
