While Rep teams are part of our Competitive program, these teams will focus on Player Development. This requires substantial commitment to practice time in order to learn the skills of the game at a high level. Games may be scheduled during the week or on the weekends. Typical weeks during the playing season would be 2 games and 2-3 practices.
These teams will also participate in a number of tournaments throughout the season. All teams can expect to host their own OBA sanctioned tournament in Kanata with proceeds going to the team. Seaway Surge, Kingston Thunder and Montreal Rockies are also hosting tournaments that we could attend as local area tournaments. Southern Ontario and particularly Toronto offers a variety of tournaments at all levels (A, AA, AAA) that teams should look to attend to determine their classification.
All teams will have an opportunity to compete for the OBA Provincials. Where multiple teams are vying for the same Provincials spot, there will be a NCOBA playoff in August to determine the affiliate champion.
