WHAT TO EXPECT

In the days leading up to your player’s tryout, the coach for their age group will reach out directly with additional information, including:

• What players should bring
• What to expect at the tryout
• Tryout-specific instructions
• In some cases, a player questionnaire regarding positions and player experience to help with player positioning during the evaluation process

ARRIVING AT THE TRYOUT

Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled start time. This will give players enough time to:

• Check in and have their birthdate verified — please bring ID
• Receive their assigned pinnie
• Get ready for the tryout

Please ensure your player arrives on time and ready to participate.

8U COMPETITIVE TEAM

We are excited to confirm that KBA will be offering an 8U competitive team for the 2027 season!

The 8U tryouts will take place over the following two weekends:

• September 19/20
• September 26/27

The specific dates and times are currently TBD and will be confirmed by the 8U coaching staff. The expectation is that there will be two tryout sessions total, with one session taking place over each of the two weekends.

The 8U coaching staff will be conducting their own tryouts, with support from the 9U coaching staff as needed. Additional information will be communicated directly to families once the schedule is finalized.

9U TRYOUTS

The 9U tryouts will be for players born in 2018 only.

Additional details regarding the 9U and 8U tryout schedules will be communicated directly to families once finalized.

DEDICATED SELECT

The Dedicated Select Tryouts will take place on Sunday, September 27 at 10:00 AM.

If your player is not selected to a Rep team during the regular tryout process, they may be invited to participate in the Dedicated Select tryouts. Invitations and additional details will be communicated directly to families following the Rep tryouts.

Players who are invited to the Dedicated Select tryouts will receive additional information regarding the process. More details will follow.
