Registration open for Winter Skills Baseball Training!

Get ready for an exciting Winter Skills baseball training program to gear up for the 2025 ball season! Limited spaces available, so act fast.


The KBA is offering winter programs for:

  • Coed Minor (9-10 yrs)*
    Friday, Jan 3 - Feb 28
    5:00 - 6:30 pm
    Kanata Sensplex
    Lead coach Peter Tasker

  • Coed Major (11-12 yrs)*
    Friday, Jan 3 - Feb 28
    6:30 - 8:00 pm
    Kanata Sensplex
    Lead coach Neil Jansen

  • Coed Junior (13-14 yrs)
    Friday, Jan 3 - Feb 28
    8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
    Kanata Sensplex
    Lead coach Jason Taggart

 

  • Girls, ages 7 - 14
    Friday, Mar 21 - Apr 25 (excludes Good Friday April 18)
    Time TBD (either 5pm or 6:30 start, 90 min sessions)
    Kanata Sensplex
    Lead coach Andrew Norman.

  • Choose to co-coach! Share the Head Coach responsibilities with a friend 
  • New to coaching? Mentors are now available to help guide new coaches through the Winter Skills while preparing you to coach in the Spring and Summer if you choose - we hope you will!
  • Most participants will have at least one season of baseball experience, as previously registered KBA baseball players are given priority. New to baseball players will be added only if space allows.
  • Register to volunteer by following the instructions on our website. 

 

Registration Fee

  • Registration fees for Winter Skills vary by program and are listed in the RAMP registration system. 
  • Register for Winter Skills to get $50 off your players' Spring or Summer KBA baseball registration.
  • Registration fees can be paid in the RAMP registration system. 
  • Players will not be able to participate in this program until their fee is paid.

 

Parents
Parents are expected to come prepared to help run baseball stations. Your Head Coach will show you the drills and ask you to help run stations during practice. Your involvement in your child’s baseball development is critical to their success and the success of the program.

Clothing and Equipment

Players should come prepared with:

  • Athletic wear (shorts/tights/athletic pants) or baseball pants
  • Jock or jill
  • Bottle of water
  • Baseball glove, batting helmet, and athletic shoes.
    Note: Cleats, outdoor shoes/boots, or any food or drink other than water are not permitted in the fieldhouse.
