Tokessy Tournament

The Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove tournament runs from August 1th to 3rd. This year marks the 28th edition of this charity little league tournament that has raised over $500,000 for CHEO's Cardiology Unit since 1996. This is the largest Little League charity tournament in CANADA and we host it !!! Come be part of something amazing :)

We have a new record number of teams attending this year....72!!!

Volunteer

The tournament committee (many of whom have been volunteering since 1996) are looking for help to manage all of the sites required for this large tournament.

Any KBA coaches, parents, high school students (volunteer hours granted), or cousins/friends of our members are asked to consider helping out with this prestigious tournament for such a worthy cause.

Volunteer positions include:

Field set up and take down (bases, raking, chalking, mound repair etc). This is the most critical and an area that KBA members can help the most.
Site management (being at a diamond/site, being the person in charge if there are questions/concerns, ensuring teams get their score sheets and hand them back to you after the game, report the official score to headquaters (by text), ensure umpires are handed water from the cooler on-site)
Canteen managing
Help at the opening ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Tokessy field
Selling Chuck-A-Ball baseballs at opening ceremonies.
Help at raffle/auction tables
Help with sound system (opening ceremonies)
Other random tasks as needed

All proceeds from the tournament and donations go to the Cardiology Department of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). You can donate through the CHEO foundation today.
