Directly following our Coach Appreciation and Player Awards Banquet and dinner, we will conduct our Annual General Meeting (8:30pm start time, Oct 21, Carp Mess Hall)

What is the AGM?

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is where the Association reports to its members. It gives members an opportunity to respond, react and provide input - becoming part of our solution to provide better baseball for the youth in our community.

 

Hello Kanata Baseball Families,

 

This year's Kanata Baseball Association (KBA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for October 21 at 8:30 p.m @ the Carp Mess Hall, 2240 Craig Side Rd, Carp.  

 

KBA members are invited to attend this meeting to hear updates on our programs, operations and finances, to participate in the election of KBA Executive Board members, and to recognize our outstanding volunteers from the 2025 season. 

 

Nominations for Vacant Positions

 

The following 2-year KBA Executive Board positions are up for election at this AGM:

  1. VP Programs
  2. VP Communications & Marketing
  3. VP Administration
  4. Registrar

 

Please self-nominate or nominate someone you know for any of these positions by sending an email with the nominee’s full name and the position name to president@kanatabaseball.com. We will also ask for in-person nominations from the floor during the meeting.  Please keep in mind that only KBA members in good standing are able to vote at the AGM.

We Love our Volunteers! (and need more)

For our upcoming season there are a number of critical one-year director, convener, manager and committee positions that need volunteers.  Remember, the KBA is 100% volunteer-driven and we need help to provide a positive baseball experience for all our players. In the past few years we have increased the scope of our program offerings, (winter skills, girls baseball, fall ball etc) and we need a lot of help to run all of these programs.

  • Director of Competitive Programs
  • Director of House Programs
  • Conveners for all Little League divisions (6U, 8U, Minor, Major, Junior, Senior)
  • Girls Baseball Convener
  • Safety Officer 
  • Fields Manager and Helpers (Fields Crew)
  • Fundraising and Sponsorships Manager
  • Equipment Helpers
  • Committee members for the Scott Tokessy Memorial Tournament
  • Photo-day Manager
