Help Us Mend Little Hearts

Dear KBA Members,

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove Baseball Tournament, taking place from Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Following the tremendous success of last year’s tournament, the Kanata Baseball Association in partnership with the Tournament board will recognize a 27-year milestone of honoring Scott, a beloved twelve-year-old who tragically passed away from an irregular heartbeat shortly after hitting a home run for his house league baseball team. Scott exemplified the true spirit of Little League Baseball through his sportsmanship, fair play, and dedication. 

Entirely volunteer-run, the tournament donates all proceeds to the Cardiology Department of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), aiding in their mission to mend little hearts. To date, the tournament has contributed over $466,000 to CHEO, supporting their investment in advanced technology to diagnose heart conditions in children with greater speed and accuracy.

With your generous support, we aim to raise over $30,000 with the goal of surpassing a half-million in total dollars raised to continue our mission of helping CHEO. Your donations can make a significant difference in the lives of many children and their families.
