In 2022 we successfully re-introduced dedicated Girls Baseball teams in the KBA. The momentum continues to grow for an all Girls baseball league in Ottawa with all Ottawa Little Leagues now offering Girls only teams. Ottawa West, East Nepean, South Ottawa, Orleans and Glebe Little League now run Girls-only teams for the 2024 season. In addition, the Director of Girls Baseball in the Outaouais has reached out and wants to continue to offer exhibition games between their girls teams and ours in 2024.
This is an exciting time for the growth of Girls Baseball in our city!

The 2024 season will run from early May until the last week of July. Teams will typically have two practices per week from Monday through Friday and games on Sunday afternoons.
All other Ottawa baseball associations plan to have girls teams this season including Ottawa West, East Nepean, South Ottawa, Orleans and the Glebe. We may also play exhibition games against girls teams from the Outaouais association.
If we don’t have enough players registered to form a Kanata team at a specific age level, we can work with other local associations to have players join one of their girls teams. Our goal is to get as many girls playing baseball as possible.
If you can help with our Girls Baseball program in any way, including administration, coaching, or parent helper, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Women are encouraged to volunteer as coaches and role models for these teams. Of course male coaches are more than welcome as well!
