Custom in-house coach training to give you the confidence and skill to run great practices, develop players skills and manage games.

In-person session at Bell Sensplex Fieldhouse, lead by our own NCCP coach trainer Robert Turcotte, will be tailored by division (ie 6U, 8U, Minor/Major, Junior/Senior) so you get the information and skill level that is most relevant to you. All sessions are on Friday evenings from 6:30pm - 8pm. Please bring indoor shoes and wear active clothes - bring your glove if you have one. Water is allowed inside the fieldhouse (no food).

Session 1 - Online meeting, discussing how players learn, considerations when teaching, and how to set up a practice.
Session 2 - Online meeting, discussing game management and in introduction to teaching the skills of hitting, pitching, and fielding.

The NCCP basic entry level course is the "Coach Initiation in Baseball (Online)". It is recommended that every coach has a minimum of the Initiation Online course. This provides a foundation for coaches to build on, the focus isn’t “what to coach” but is on “how to be a coach”.
2024: We are hosting 4 NCCP Coach clinics in-person. The clinics will be held at the Tony Graham Recreation Center (former KRC) in Hall B. To participate, you MUST have an NCCP number.
Registration is done on the OBA Coaches website - if you are new to NCCP (do not yet have a coach number), you must first "Register" on the Baseball Canada website (left menu) for Coach Initiation to create an account and have an NCCP coach number assigned. Otherwise, simply sign in and click on the Clinics menu item to register for the needed clinics.
** We are hosting 4 in-person NCCP Coach Clinics this spring. All clinics will be held at the Tony Graham Recreation Center (formerly KRC) in Hall B. KBA Coaches do not need to register, but must inform the registrar of their desire to participate.
