Recreational Summer House programs are offered to players age 6 to 16 years old who reside within our Kanata Baseball Association boundaries.
Summer programs run through the months of July and August (2 months).
All the program names can be a little daunting to players and families new to our baseball league.
Program offerings are dependent on the age of your player(s).
Use the birth year/month chart below to find the program your child(ren) should play in.

Before the Summer season starts, we conduct "sort-outs" when there is more than one team in a division, to create balanced teams and tiers where desired. This happens in the 5-10 days before game-play begins (late June).
Teams are given a few days to meet and get in practice before game-play begins.
The regular season of game-play involves 10-12 games (6 weeks) through July and August plus playoffs. Teams will generally play 2 games per week. For the most part, younger ages play within KBA only. Tiered play may permit some younger the opportunity to play interlocked with other teams from across the National Capital Region. Older teams (Junior & Senior) will have a schedule interlocked with other organizations to provide balanced and varied competition.
** All safety protocols dictated by public health authorities will be followed **

Registration for each Summer House program opens in May and runs until mid-June or until it is full. A notice that registration is open is sent by email to all existing members. Visit the Registration system here. Don't delay - programs fill up quickly!
Please note that our ability to deliver programs depends on having enough volunteer coaches. If we do not have sufficient volunteers at any age group, registrations will be cancelled from newest to oldest. At the Minor age group (10 and under), we require parent supervision at all practices.
All players must supply their own baseball glove and batting helmet. Players should wear appropriate athletic footwear and clothing for baseball activities, baseball pants are highly recommended. Jock or Jill required. Players with their own baseball bats are encouraged to bring them. Uniforms (jersey, cap) will only be distributed for house and interlock play (some jerseys are loaners while other divisions keep their jersey. Caps are always kept by the player)
